The Building Regulations Explanatory Booklet provides an introduction to Building Regulations in England and Wales, and is intended for anyone proposing to carry out building projects, however it is not a statement of the law. This booklet only deals with Building Regulations and not planning permission. Similarly, receiving any planning permissions for your work is not the same as taking action to ensure your work complies with Building Regulations.
